Previously the director of the Fibrowatt plant in Thetford, Osvaldo is now the CEO of Rose Energy.  He has been quoted in the media as saying "the views and concerns of local residents form an important part of our public consultation process".

Graham Bolton appeared at Gilgood Lodge to present the planning aspects of the application. He accused one audience member of not being able to read when it was pointed out that there were three different heights listed for the chimney stack. His practice must be in dire straights if he has to resort to representing this kind of application. 

 

Ulster Farm By Products 7 April 2008

ULSTER FARM BY-PRODUCTS LTD FINED £5000 FOR POLLUTING RIVER

A Co Antrim company was fined a total of £5,000 with £475 costs at Antrim Magistrates' Court today for two offences of polluting the Glenavy River.

Ulster Farm By-Products Ltd, the animal by-products rendering company, pleaded guilty to the offences which took place in January and February 2007 when their discharge to the river significantly exceeded the limit set by the Environment and Heritage Service.

NOTES TO EDITORS:
1. The company is regulated under the Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations (NI) 2003 with the limits for the discharge to the river set out in a permit issued by the EHS. The discharge is from the company’s Effluent Treatment Plant.
2. The Environment and Heritage Service brought the action under the Pollution Prevention and Control Regulation (Northern Ireland) 2003.
